Funcom and Shiro Games share big updates planned for the 4X title
Dune: Spice Wars, the real-time strategy 4X game set in Frank Herbert’s legendary sci-fi universe released on Steam Early Access, will continue to grow as the developers prepare to support the game for the foreseeable future with a comprehensive roadmap.
The newly revealed Early Access roadmap has several key features that players can look forward to, including a major multiplayer update, a new playable faction, more units, and the joining of the battle by the councillors that dispense precious advice in Dune: Spice Wars. Every new update will also deliver improvements and fixes for the overall experience.
Having experienced the Early Access process, both Funcom and Shiro Games will make listening to community feedback a vital part of their strategy, and will tweak things to address more pressing concerns of the player base. Multiplayer will be the current focus, while the other features might be subjected to change in the future.
The success of Dune: Spice Wars has been clear from the reception received, and the team is hoping to build on that strong foundation and leave a lasting legacy among space-faring players. This roadmap for Dune: Spice Wars is only the beginning.
