Fatshark Drops New World Intro Trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

For fans who have been following the journey of Fatshark‘s Warhammer 40,000: Darktide since the beginning, the first teaser trailer was released two years ago and saw a four-person recon squad venturing to investigate sub-level six of Atoma Prime’s Tertium Hive. Their fate remained precariously unknown, that is, until now.

A new World Intro Trailer has finally arrived, and it provided a proper glimpse of what players can expect from the game in terms of worldbuilding and atmosphere. Ominous music, trepidation with every move, and the constant reminder that conflict is truly the only instinct that all beings abide by, and also, warp travel does a number on anymore making the jump.

And as the massive starship emerges on the other side, the gargantuan Hive City of Tertium looks almost peaceful. Diving deeper into the sublevels paints a drastically different picture.

From the same uniforms, headgear, and even unit logo, this is the squad that hasn’t been seen for a while, and true to the prophetic words uttered by their commanding officer, they are not going to make it out alive. It is clear that plenty of work has gone into realizing the threatening universe of Darktide, the nightmares that await, and the struggle to survive, with this latest Darktide trailer being another great example of that.

Needless to say, this will be a common theme for players when Warhammer 40,000: Darktide arrives this Nov. 30. If you needed a reminder of how things got started for the recon squad, the first teaser can be found below:
